Brown aluminum oxide is electrically fused in an arcfurnace from a mixture of bauxite at high temperature. It has brown color, high hardness and great toughness. The abrasive tools made of brown aluminum oxide are suitable for grinding carbon steel, normal alloy steel, malleable cast iron and hard bronze. It used for refractory aluminum oxide lining mixture, pouring materials castable, etc.

Brown Fused Alumina has the following advantage: high hardness, strong tenacity, good self-sharpening, better cohesiseness, higher durability, less heat generated in grind-ing and giving the metal works high finish, less power weak-ened in grinding. It is mostly used in grinding and polishing stainless steel, metal works, optical glass, bamboo or articles.

Brown Fused Alumina is used as polishing materials and precision sand mold, casting,spraying and coating materials.

 

 It is made by alumina as raw material, which is melted at high tempreture. The hardness is higher but toughness is lower than of brown corumdum.

 

The abrasive tools made from above that are suitable for the grinding of high carbon steel, high speed steel and quenching steel.

 

They are also used as polishing materials and precision sand, mold casting, spraying and coating materials, chemical catalyst carrier, special ceranics and high refractory materials.
