1. Introduction

Green silicon carbide is produced in a resistance type electric furnace with petroleum coke,quartz sand and other materials. The product has great purity and high hardness.

2. Application

1) It can be used into advanced refractories which are added with silicon carbide have thermal shock resistance, compact size, light strength and good energy effeciency. Low grade silicon carbde is an excellent deoxidizer.

2) It can speed up steel making, produce reactive heat energy to reduce energy consumption. In addition, it is convenient for controlling chemical conposition and enhancing steel quality.
